3M™ 4008 Double Sided Foam Tape features a 1/8" open-cell polyurethane foam carrier with a firm acrylic adhesive on both sides, delivering high bond strength with resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents. The conformable foam construction adapts to irregular and uneven surfaces, distributing stress and providing a durable, load-bearing bond where rigid tapes would fail.
This tape is well suited for mounting, panel bonding, gasketing, and surface attachment in manufacturing, assembly, signage fabrication, and general industrial maintenance. Its ability to cushion impact and dampen vibration makes it a practical choice for equipment enclosures, display panels, and interior architectural applications where surface contact is inconsistent.
