3M™ 4941 VHB™ Tape is a 45 mil double-coated acrylic foam tape in gray, measuring 1/2 inch wide by 5 yards long. The conformable dark gray foam core carries acrylic adhesive on both sides, protected by a kraft paper liner, and delivers a permanent structural bond strong enough to replace mechanical fasteners in demanding assemblies.
This tape is well suited to manufacturing, metal fabrication, architectural glazing, and sign construction, where bonding dissimilar substrates without visible hardware is a priority. It adheres reliably to metal, glass, and a broad set of plastics, including mixed-substrate assemblies, and resists moisture, solvents, and UV exposure across a continuous service temperature range of -40°F to 200°F.
The acrylic foam construction conforms to slightly irregular surfaces, maintaining bond integrity under dynamic load and thermal cycling. UL746C listed. Sold as a single roll; verify substrate compatibility and surface preparation requirements against the 3M™ 4941 technical data sheet before application.
